就这么样，我们的国家又老了一岁。虚龄五十二，实龄四十六岁。
我知道我这么讲一定有很多人不同意，但我坚持认为马来西亚是在一九六三年才正式成立的。不然，总觉得很对不起东马的朋友们。毕竟，一九五七年马来亚从英国统治下独立的时候他们还不是我们的一分子。
另，我当然也认为马来西亚的国庆日应该是九月十六日。八月三十一日应该是独立日才对。
今天从收音机听见《Setia》这首久违的爱国歌曲，就让我常一遍作为送给我们国家的生日礼物吧……

Another year had passed and our nation get one year older. Claimed to be 52 years old, but actual age is 46 years.
I know a lot of people will not agree on the statement above, but I still insist that Malaysia is actually formed on year 1963 while Malaya earn her independence from British on year 1957. Else, it is very unfair to our Borneo friends that still not with us when Malaya was formed.
Besides, I also think that Malaysia's National Day is on September 16. August 31 should be the Independence Day.
Heard this song again on radio today that was used to be the must play song before 8pm news everyday. Please allow me to sing it again as my present to our nation...

肉骨茶 Bak Kut Teh

两个月前，宿舍外面新开了一间肉骨茶店。这是顺发第十八间分店，单单听那称号就有点好奇为何他们可以那么串。一直很想去尝试究竟有多好吃，可惜我的生活充实到没有机会这么做 =p

A new Bak Kut Teh shop started its business two months ago nearby my hostel. This is the 18th Soon Huat's branch, they claimed. This had triggered my curiosity wishing to find out how good they are but my life was so packed where I hardly find a chance to do so =p


好不容易抓到空挡，趁早上回家“欢度”国庆日假期前与来马六甲游玩的老弟去试味道。一踏进店里就看见墙上挂着一幅以“爱”为题的字画，蛮有意思的，就拍下来与大家分享。

Finally, I drag my brother that come for sight-seeing trip to pay them a visit before heading back home to celebrate the National Day holiday. Saw this meaningful writing about "Love" in the shop and hence take a photo of it to share with you guys.


这是店里的食物菜单，感觉上价钱有稍微的比附近的“阿兰肉骨茶”贵…… 但当我发现店里的师傅是用火炭炉来煮我们的肉骨茶时，就觉得其实那样的价钱还可以啦~

Here is the menu of their food. My first thought was they are charging us slightly more expensive than "Ah Lan Bak Kut Teh" which is just located nearby until I noticed that they are using charcoal stove to cook our Bak Kut Teh ! hardly we can find a shop that use charcoal to cook Bak Kut Teh nowadays liao...




食物上桌咯~ 茶汤还蛮不错，清清淡淡地不会有那种太多味精让人吃了口渴的感觉。用炭炉慢火熬的肉骨也能吸收药茶的味道，而且并没有被煮得太久而变得太“老”（又干又硬）了。

Here is our food. The soup taste quite okay as I'm not having the thirsty feel just what I experience when tasting food with too much MSG added. Slow cook with charcoal stove manage to soak the pork with nice herbal taste and keep the tangy bite feel after a long time cook.


还有，最重要的是：后来还钱的时候发现，两杯中国茶两碗芋头饭一煲肉骨茶加金针菇加油条，一共是二十一零吉。一个人差不多十零吉，价钱还差不多啦……

Last but not least, I realized that 2 cup of Chinese tea, 2 bowl of yam rice, 1 pot of Bak Kut Teh with Enoki mushroom topping and deep-fried bread stick just cost me RM21. The price is actualy still ok la...

第九个月 Ramadan

斋戒月已经过了一个星期，还有三个星期就是马来新年了……

总是很期待马来新年的到来，因为……又有假期了！嘻嘻 ;)

当然，我也很期待能够有机会早回家去逛售卖开斋美食的市集。很怀念美味的黄姜饭和夹有牛肉的印度飞饼，虽然这些食物都很容易让人发胖 >_<




Ramadan started 1 week ago and Aidilfitri is just another 3 more weeks to go...

Had been waiting for Aidilfitri to arrive as I'll have holidays again ! Hehe ;)

Of course, I'm also very excited to find a chance for leaving the office early so that I can go for food hunt at the Ramadan market. I miss the Nasi Briyani and Murtabak so much, altho these foods are very fattening food >_<

暗示 Hint

七月头，小猪告诉我关于她老大将会回归的消息。一山不能藏二虎；听讲你老大会离开，小猪还悄悄地说。过后，老板也通过婷婷被要求搬家的消息（之前她租了小猪老大的家）间接证实他知道即将发生的事情。

Early July, Piggy told me about the news that her big boss will return to join us back here. "Two tigers can't stay on the same hill, I heard that your big boss will leave.", she whisper to me through phone. Later on, my boss also acknowledged that he knew what will happen by telling me that Teng Teng had been requested to move out from the house she rented from Piggy's big boss.

两个星期前，孔孔就告诉我说她的部门即将由大型的变动。脱离遥控塔的监视当儿，空降大兵和间谍将同时出现，当然少不了一轮的调兵遣将。很伤，可是不能够做什么；我可以从她的语气中感觉到一丝丝的无奈……

Two weeks ago, Kong Kong informed me that there will be a major re-shuffle for her organization. Airborne trooper and spy will reveal themselves once escape from the radar of command tower, not mentioning about the standard procedures of moving people around. "I feel very hurt, but there is nothing I can do", I can feel her willy-nilly emotion when she talk...

上个星期四，有人发现我们老大的车子旁边停了一辆款式一样但颜色不一样的新车。哇!大家都开始议论纷纷，认为小猪的老大回到了；有者甚至跑到窗边去眺望，希望自己能够确认传言的真假。

Last Thursday, someone realized that a new car was parked next to our big boss'. It's exactly the same model but come with different color. Waa... Everyone started to talk about it and thought that Piggy's big boss had returned. Some of them even go to see for themselves beside the window just to make sure that the new car was parked there.


昨天午餐后，当看见老总的马赛地徐徐驾入公司范围，一半的人马上放弃等电梯，两步作三步地爬楼梯回办公室去了。过后看见驾车的是老总女婿时，大家都松了一口气。可是，有个眼尖的人发现我们老大停车的位子已经不一样，主要的停车位已经让出来给新车子了。大家马上轮流到窗边去亲眼确认一下，开始相信工人们在会议室排椅子的举动很不简单，又聚在一起讨论个不停了。

When the god father's car slowly enters the gate after lunch, half of the crowd that were waiting for lift just turned around and take stairs to get back to office. The remaining ones were relieved when they figured out that the driver was the son-in-law but not god father himself. But, this make someone noticed that the parking orientation of the cars had changed - our big boss' car was parked at the front parking lot while the new car was enjoying the main parking lot. This makes everyone in the office to take turn and go verify it again beside the window. All were in discussion again when the workers started to move and arrange chairs in the conference meeting room.

今天一大早就收到伊妹儿通知小猪老大回归的消息，顺便通知大家准时出席过后的沟通会议。终于，大家再也不必就种种的暗示猜测结果了……

This morning, we had been officially informed about the return of Piggy's big boss. At the end of that email, everyone had been informed to attend a mass communication meeting regarding that organization change. At last, everyone get the chance to listen to the official rumors and need not to guess on what is going to happen based on the limited hints available...

晴空万里 Sunny

过去的几个星期不是灰蒙蒙就是雨朦胧，天空的心情怎么样都不曾真正好起来。

我自己也开始习惯低着头行走：快步 --> 躲进车里避开难闻的烟雾或点点雨滴 --> 冲进目的地。有时，甚至宁愿在吸入最少氧气的情况下快步行，幸好没有因此而半路晕倒 =p

今天靠窗时发现外面的朵朵惊喜，恨不得像要回家把相机拿出来拍个过瘾……

行走时把头抬起来，那些云朵就是这么简单地可爱！

For the past few weeks, SKY was either hazy or raining. The mood was never really that good.

I almost get used to the travel mode of fast walk --> get into the car to keep away from hazy air or rain drops --> rush into destination. Sometime I just preferred to take a fast walk with minimum oxygen intake, luckily never faint half way walking =p

A bit surprised when see the nice cloud scenery when standing against the office window today. Feel like wanted to take gate pass and grab camera from home for a cloud shooting session nia...

Raise you head while walking, these clouds are just simply lovely !

野餐 Picnic

既然已经讲明这次的活动是野餐，几天前我们就商量好谁要准备什么食物，带上山去吃个痛快 -

Since we had declared that we are going to have a picnic at the waterfall, everyone had discussed and agreed on who to prepare what food few days before the trip during our morning break -



香肠和炸鸡块 - 戴安娜把火候控制的很好；香肠不会蒸得皱巴巴太难看，鸡块没有炸焦的痕迹
西瓜和沙拉 - 小弟是早上起来迷迷糊糊地把沙拉洗清洁后才切西瓜。切时感觉到好像西瓜越切越多，出发的时间却越来越靠近
鸡蛋香肠泥 - 雷门本来是打算准备马铃薯泥，后来却不知为什么换成鸡蛋香肠泥了。可能是因为美玲做这道菜比较拿手吧？
炒米粉 - 克雷诗町通宵打麻将的奶奶的杰作；据说是因为担心她没能力一次过炒那么大份而从床上爬起来帮忙炒的
三文治 - 熊猫自告奋勇要准备的背后目的是要将芥末参入几份三文治来作弄人，可是后来因为计划不小心被我说出来而作罢

Sausage & Nugget - Diana did a good job on controlling the fire; the sausages are still in nice round shape while the nuggets are not over-fried
Watermelon & Salad - I wake up early in the morning to wash the salad in a blur blur mode as I worked very late the night before. When come to cutting watermelon, I just feel like the watermelon grows bigger and bigger while the departure time is clicking liao...
Scramble egg with sausage - RayMun was volunteering to make potato salad at the first place. Not sure if he change to this just because of BeeLeng is better at making this ?
Fried Bee Hoon - Good work of Christine's "Lai Lai" after a mahjung marathon night. She climb out of bed to help prepare it worrying that Christine might not able to handle such a big amount of bee hoon...
Sandwich - Panda was so excited and volunteered to prepare this, with a naughty plan to add wasabi in few of the sandwiches. The plan was call off when she find out that I had let the others know about it accidentally =p



稍微平坦的石头被当成餐桌，所有的食物都被摆放在上面。需要稍微低温才好吃/喝的西瓜、沙拉和汽水则事先被放在冰冷的河水里降温。

We use a near flat rock as our dining table, where all the foods are placed on top of it. Watermelon, salad and soda bottles are placed in the chilly water, hoping that the chilly effects can make them taste better.



在开始正式玩水之前，大家先填饱肚子才有力气打水战。

Everyone is busy filling up the stomach prior to the exciting water battle.



在流水对岸的阿蛇懒惰过回来拿食物，就要求我们将香肠和炸鸡块抛过去给他……

Ah Chua that is on the other side of the stream asked us to throw him sausage & nugget as he is lazy to cross over for the food...



本来克雷诗町带了扑克牌让我们可以用“射龙门”的游戏来解决过剩的食物，后来她却用互喂的方式和其他几个人将西瓜给吃完了。厉害！

Christine actually bring along her poker cards so that we can play "In Between" to finish up the unsettled food. Somehow, it turn out to be a watermelon feeding session where we feed each others to finish up the watermelon ! Geng !

老天也不让我瘦下来 GOD also don't want to let me slim down

两个星期前：“为什么？为什么老天就是要和我作对？偏偏就在我要下定决心开始走路上班的早上下雨？”我要多运动！而且，这次我真的不是嘴巴讲爽而已叻……

已经连续几个星期天和友人到公园去快步走，也开始将车停放在家然后徒步上班。一边希望先将像怀胎六月的肚腩慢慢消除掉（这可是我两次美国行所为自己留下来的最好纪念品！），另一边也希望过后可以将高涨几年的胆固醇从5.7慢慢降到刚开工时的正常水平。

老天！明天早上别下雨啊……

2 weeks ago : " Why ? Why You want to go against me ? Why you rain on the morning I wanted to start walking to work ? " I want to exercise more ! And, I'm serious this time...

Had been going for fast walk in the park for few weekends and walk to work with my car parked at home, hoping that I can slowly work through to reduce my big big tummy, which is the best souvenir I still keep for myself from 2 business trips to USA. Besides, hope that this effort will help to improve my cholesterol level from 5.7 to a better level just like what I have when I just start to work.

Oh GOD, please don't rain on tomorrow morning...

下一站，金山瀑布 Next Destination, Air Panas Waterfall

三年前，我和另外七个同事登上了马来半岛南部最高峰——金山。这是我们几个在美丽的公主瀑布下的照片。

3 years ago, I went up Gunung Ledang ( Mt. Ledang, the highest peak at Southern Peninsular Malaysia ) with 7 collegues. This is the photo we took with the beautiful Puteri Waterfall ( Princess Waterfall ).

自从六月头到云顶后，同事们的出游活动就停顿了下来。一半是因为平时最好的召集人出国公干了，另一半更重要的是工作增加了大家忙得喘不过气来。

最近阿蛇从苏州回来后就一直邀活动，大家又开始慢慢活跃起来了。经过几次的讨论后，决定来次短程的出游——到一个小时车程外的金山瀑布去！

但是，当讨论到谁要成为活动的召集人时，每个人却开始推托说自己办事不力，不能够胜任这个重任。结果，推来推去就叫我这个所谓“有经验去那边”的人负责了。

当拟好伊妹儿（伊妹儿参考英文版本）时，我在想如果可以爬到出名的公主瀑布去野餐的话，就不必在第三湖和其他的游客挤在一起了……

Since our last trip to Genting in early June, the outing activities among the colleges had slow down. This is because the best organizer is still on business trip but most important thing is that everyone is busy with their new work load too.

Chua had been asking everyone to go out since his recent return from China business trip. This had re-activated everyone's mood to look for the next trip. After few canteen discussions, we decided to organize a short 1 day picnic trip to Air Panas Waterfall, which is just an hour drive from Melaka.

Although this news excites everybody, but everyone starts to say that he/she is not capable when come to the election of lead organizer. At last, I was elected to become the organizer with the reason "I have more experience visiting this tourist spots that is located near to my hometown", haha.

When I was drafting the email below, I was thinking that it will be best if we are allowed to hike up to Puteri Waterfall for our picnic as we will not need to share the water pool with all other tourist...

I’m proposing for a 1 day trip to Air Panas Waterfall ( No idea why they call it Air Panas as the water is cold ) located at foot hill of Gunung Ledang next Saturday, Aug 22. Target plan as below :

0830 – Departure from company car park
0930 – Arrived at Gunung Ledang foot hill car park
1000 – Arrived at 3rd pond after half hour slow hike up the stairs. Enjoy the cooling water & water massage while having picnic beside the pond.
1230 – Start to go down the hill and change for dry clothes at bathroom near car park.
1300 – Lunch at Sagil village to enjoy their famous Wan Tan Mee.
1500 – Arrived back at company car park.

The Gunung Ledang National Park entry fee is RM2 per pax while car parking is RM4 per car. Petrol will be shared by the driver & passengers in the same car, estimated complete trip petrol cost is < RM30.

Pls let me know latest by next Wed, Aug 19 so that we can prepare the food for picnic.

带雨回家

周末回家，老爸问我马六甲常下雨吗？听见我回答“这个星期有几天”时，满脸羡慕地告诉我家里已经几个星期没下雨，园里的树木和蔬菜都快干掉了。

午餐过后，老爸邀我一起去园里帮忙。出门前看见远处白朦胧地，好像是下雨的样子，但老爸认为那些是烟雾。上车时告诉老爸我感觉到雨点滴在头上，但他认为并不会下雨。结果，在园里活动没到十五分钟就下雨了，我们也躲到附近的亭子底下去避雨。

好久没有这么样在园里避雨的感觉了。以前总是喜欢下雨然后躲起来看雨，听雨声滴滴答答打在树叶上和风把树叶吹得沙沙响是很舒服的。加上下雨就代表不必做工，更加快活，嘻嘻！

现在长大了，听雨的心境也不同了。虽然很难再以单纯的心去聆听雨声，但很高兴能够与老爸面对面坐下来交谈。从以前就没有太多的机会与老爸交换意见。难得这场忽大忽小的雨把我们困了一个小时，可以听听他对我事业上发展的意见，为我指点迷津。

我们乘雨稍微停顿时就赶忙回家了。老爸还很无厘头地说了一句：没想到你竟然把马六甲的雨给带回来了……

黑武士 Darth Vader

下午到英雄广场，突然发现被许多星战里的黑武士包围。但他们并不是真正的黑武士，只是他的兄弟——白武士和青武士。
托烟霾和A型流感的福，许多人（尤其是游客）都纷纷戴上了口罩出门，连一部分的广场工作人员也不例外。
在戏院里面，也零零星星看见一些人戴着口罩看戏。刚好，戏里面也有一个戴着黑色面具的日本忍者。戏里戏外，相映成趣。
总结看来，大家都很怕死。只有我们这些从医院走出来的傻瓜还是没有把威胁放在心上。
晚上到鸡场街喝酒，刚好地理学家有一个店员也戴上了口罩。当同桌的朋友要下单时，他竟然对戴口罩的店员挥手叫到：黑武士！搞到同桌的人都十分尴尬。@.@

I went to Dataran Pahlawan today and found that there were a lot of Darth Vader ( from Star Wars ) around me. But they were not exactly like Darth Vader, just his brothers that come with white or green color.
Thanks to the serious haze and A influenza, a lot of people ( especially tourist ) are wearing mask when they move around, including those employees of the Dataran itself.
In the cinema, I also realized that many audience were wearing their mask during the show. Coincidentally, there is a Japanese ninja that always wearing a black mask in the movie. It was so funny to look at those white / green masks watching black mask's action on screen.
In summary, everybody is afraid of death. Only few of us that stay in the hospital before are still dumb enough to ignore the threat.
At night, we were drinking at Geographer and one of the waitress was wearing a mask too. When the moment one of the friend that try to place an order wave at her and call : "Darth Vader !", all of us feel so embarrassed sitting around the same table as him. @.@

Pisang, not Pizza !

I brought back some Pisang when go back kampung last weekend. I bring those that turned yellow this morning as breakfast in the office. In the lift to office, met the 2 funny S-es and we had conversation as below -

Me : Hey, Small S ! I brought some Pisang today, want to try ? Nice one ler~
Small S : ( Look at me w/o turning her head ) Monkey !
Me : ( Pretend to look around ) What monkey ? Where ? Where ?
Small S : Only monkey eats Pisang...
Me : Wei wei... How can you talk to me like that when I try to make friends by treating you Pisang ?
Big S : Pisang ? We don't want. If Pizza then of course we want la~
Big S & Small S : ( While walking out of the lift ) Wahahaha...

Embarrassed. I never know so many people don't like to eat Pisang.

奇怪的梦 Weird Dream

有天早上，我是从梦中惊醒的。

梦是从老板打电话给苏珊开始-
老板：（鬼鬼祟祟的声音）苏珊，无名有在你身边吗？
苏珊：有啊，要干嘛？
老板：叫他帮忙一下，打电话给老板娘。

虽然感到很奇怪，但我还是照做了。
我：哈罗，老板娘？
老板娘：无名，找我什么事？
我：没有什么事啦，只是有人要跟你讲话。你等下呵……

然后我就把我的电话和苏珊的电话上下倒反放在一起，让彼此的播音器对着彼此的麦克风，好让老板可以透过苏珊和我的电话与老板娘讲话。
老板：（用很温柔的声音，听了会鸡皮疙瘩的那种）老婆，你在做什么？
老板娘：（冷冷地）哼，在我两个朋友的家谈天。你不认识她们的。
老板：（感觉上声音假假地）哦！那比比呢？比比还好吗？
老板娘：他现在在我旁边睡觉。有七磅重。

听到老板在和老板娘谈他们家庭里面的私事，我觉得不应该继续听下去，就把两个电话移到被单底下去盖着。这样，我就听不见他们两个人的对话了。但过了一会儿，我又开始担心着不知他们两个谈完了没，因为我总不可能一直那样抓着两个电话不动。

结果，我又把电话从被单下拿出来。
老板：（很内疚的语气）对不起啦，我不是特地没有去的。你自己也知道的嘛，公司里面的工有时候突然跑出来，我也控制不到。
老板娘：（还是很冷淡……）哦，这个已经没有关系了。你已经不用再来了。

这个时候，我的心突然跳很快，就从梦中醒过来了。虽然弄清楚自己是在发梦，担心奇怪的梦会成真。请不要问我为什么我可以把所有电话里的对话听得一清二楚，我自己也不知道。我只知道那是梦里面才会发生的事情，因为我的听觉已经并不是那么好了。

过后我在办公室把梦重复一遍给老板听，听得他哈哈大笑，说我想太多了，梦竟然也可以那么厉害。

附：发这个梦的第二天，听说公主也发了一个和我有关系的梦。但无论我如何追问，她也坚持不肯透露究竟是什么内容。说不要说出来，不然的话事情就不是太好了。无奈。

One morning, I was awake from my dream.

The dream started from a phone call from my boss to Susan.
Boss : ( Sound very secretive ) Susan, is No Name there ?
Susan : Yeah, why ?
Boss : Ask him to help me call my wife ?

Although I have a very weird feelings, but I still make the call.
Me : Hello, lady boss ?
Lady Boss : No Name, you looking for me ?
Me : No la, there is someone who like to talk to you. Hold on...

Then, I place my phone upside down next to Susan's so that the speaker is facing microphone of the other one to allow the Boss to talk to the Lady Boss through the phones.
Boss : ( with a very soft intonation that enough to turn any girl down ) Honey, where are you ?
Lady Boss : ( sound chilly ) Hmm, I'm chatting at my 2 good friends' house. You do not know them one.
Boss : ( sound like he is trying to hide from something ) Oh ! Then how is our baby ? Is little baby okay ?
Lady Boss : Baby is sleeping beside me now. The weight is 7 pounds.

When I realized that I'm listening to my boss' private family affair, I decided to hide the phone underneath a blanket so that I need not to listen to their conversation. After a while, I starts to worried if their conversation had ended as I can't hold the phones underneath the blanket forever.

So, I take the phones out.
Boss : ( sound very guilty ) Sorry la~ My absence is not on purpose one. As you know, the company work is very uncertain as the work will just pop out in a sudden and I do not have control over it.
Lady Boss : ( still very chilly ) Oh, it doesn't matter any more now. You need not to come over any more.

At this moment, my heart suddenly beat very fast and awake me from the dream. Although I knew that I'm dreaming but it was so real that I'm worried if it will happen. Please don't ask me why I can listen to the phone conversation clearly as I have no clue on it too. I only know that it will only happen in the dream as my hearing is not that good in real world.

Later that day, Boss laugh out at me when I told him the weird dream. He says that I had been thinking too much to make my dream a great one.

p/s : On the second day after my dream, I heard that Princess also having a weird dream that involves me. But she refused to tell what happened in the dream as she don't want things to go the wrong direction after she say it out. Sigh~
